Medication Alarms

These are great complement to any medical alert system. A medication alarm is an electronic pill dispenser that reminds a person of the correct time to take their medication. Such alarms come in two types:

Stand-alone alarm. This is essentially an electronic medical dispenser unit with a clock and an alarm that reminds one when to take medication. A locked lid prevents someone from accidently taking too much medication.

Monitored alarm. This works in conjunction with a medical alert monitoring service. The electronic medication dispenser will automatically call the alert monitoring center if medication hasn't been taken within 30 minutes of the alarm going off. An operator will then call the home and contact the person to see if everything is OK.
